Ooops... these are out of chronological order- but hey, pictures are pictures!

Here is a man with his horse-drawn market...

The street.. I- something (forgot the name) in Taxim on the European side. A very long street that goes from the heart of the business area down to the Golden Horn, a part of the Bosphorus. 

A temple upon a hill overlooking the Bosphorus from the bottom of that long I-named street. These Turks must hate the views here!!!!?!!

On the ferry from one continent to another... leaving Europe.

So... apparently in order to cut back on water waste, we should flush two times! ... the bathroom at the airport

Since the traffic is known to be so bad, vendors have moved to the freeways. It isn't oranges in LA... but cotton candy, water, rugs... the usual!

This is a little park we stumbled upon killing time one of the first days.  It is right down the street from our work.  Imagine a cursive capitol L- this is the beginning of the letter, our work is the bottom of the upper loop, the Bosphorus curves around to be the top of the top loop, the area we want to live in is the stem and parallel to the Bosphorus and the place where we currently live is the end of the L- the whole thing about 20-30 minutes walking from furthest points.  I hope that made some sense...

Oh... just the street parallel to us.
